One warm spring day, amidst the hopelessness of the 2020 pandemic, Cory and his friend Dennis decided to grab a cup of coffee from Rising Star. Little did he know, the barista who would serve him this coffee had playful brown curls, sparkling blue eyes, and a captivating personality - at least from the mask up. From Instagram DMs to socially distanced patio hangs, the two would quickly fall in love and become Cleveland’s most exciting new power couple.

As their love grew, Cory had to endure Jacob’s incessant stories about his life in France and how much he missed it, so he took Jacob across the pond, not once, but twice in their 3 years of dating. The second time - Christmas 2023 under the sparkling sapin de Noel in Strasbourg’s main square, Cory asked Jacob to spend the rest of their lives together. Also Cory cried more than Jacob. It’s a pretty wild thing to actually find your soulmate, and we are filled with absolute joy and appreciation for all of you joining us to celebrate!
